Partner Andrea Cook Accepted into Dallas Bar Association Women’s Leadership Program

Dallas partner Andrea Cook has been accepted into the DBA WE LEAD: Women Empowered to Lead in the Legal Profession program. This one-year program is designed to address the challenges of high-performing women who have practiced law for 8 to 15 years. 

The Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Women’s Foundation, and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association created the DBA WE LEAD program to prepare women lawyers for leadership roles within their firms, businesses, and communities at large and strengthen already successful law practices.

Cook is a member of the firm’s Environmental/Toxic Tort, Product & General Liability, and Commercial Litigation practice groups. She currently serves as NCC for three asbestos defendants, including both product manufacturers and premises owners. She has significant experience representing property owners, developers, retail stores, and management companies against premises liability claims. She has extensive experience in handling and defending complex expert and corporate representative depositions.

She is well-versed in defending clients in complex litigation involving trucking, construction defects, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injuries. She has tried cases in both Illinois and Texas. She also serves as the co-chair of the Gordon & Rees African American Affinity Group which is dedicated to fostering the success of African American attorneys across the firm.
