Litigation Trial Paralegal - Toxic Tort (1–2 yrs)

The Dallas office of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm, has an opening for a Litigation Trial Paralegal in its toxic tort group. The successful candidate will assist with trial preparation, and will be available to travel to trial as needed.


  • Attend trials to assist trial attorneys 
  • Investigate and research potential jurors for jury selection
  • Attend pretrial hearings to provide attorney with documents and organizational support
  • Draft opening statements and closing arguments
  • Draft cross outlines and direct examination outlines of witnesses for deposition and trial
  • Strategize with fact and expert witnesses to prepare for deposition and trial
  • Communicate with clients, national and local counsel
  • Conduct analytical expert, scientific, and factual research to develop defenses
  • Analyze depositions, pleadings, discovery, and literature for trial preparation
  • Assist with technical needs during meetings, depositions, and trials
  • Schedule and execute meetings for cases as needed
  • Maintain deadlines and organize case materials


  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Understanding of civil case management and court systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, experts and attorneys, both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to travel
  • Stamina to work long days and weekends as needed
  • Organized and able to manage time effectively
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
