Gordon & Rees to Present Oct. 14 Webinar on How to Prevent Your Company From Being Sued

As part of the firm’s 2014 National Employment Law Webinar Series, Gordon & Rees will hold a webinar titled “Employers Beware! How to Prevent Your Company From Being Sued” on Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. PDT.

The live webinars offer free, practical training on current and emerging employment law issues for large and small companies. For the October webinar, Gordon & Rees New Jersey partner Elizabeth Lorell will discuss some major initiatives that the EEOC is undertaking, changes in federal employment law and the growing footprint of the National Labor Relations Board into areas that were typically left to litigation in a courthouse (such as social media policies and arbitration waivers).   Ms. Lorell will also discuss some recent and important U. S. Supreme Court decisions in the employment arena and a congressional bill that, if passed, will hold employers responsible for workplace bullying and harassment, even if the bullying isn’t the result of a victim’s protected class.  This seminar focuses on how all of these changes impact your company as we also provide practical strategies and best practices to prevent your company from being sued.  A Q&A session will follow the webinar.
