On June 4, Gordon & Rees Portland partner Nancy M. Erfle will discuss defect theories and how to defend against them at the American Conference Institute’s Seventh Annual Summit on Defending and Managing Automotive Product Liability Litigation.
At a 10:45 a.m. panel discussion titled “The Latest Nuances in Defending Against Typical Defect Theories,” Erfle will speak on how to effectively defend automobile defect claims involving a wide range of liability issues, including rollovers, side curtain air bags, fires, tire aging, electronic stability control, unintended acceleration, keyless ignition and seat backs.
The conference will be held on June 4-5 at the Omni Chicago Hotel on the Magnificent Mile. The event provides federal and state judicial insights and networking and business development opportunities with strategic advice and comprehensive updates from manufacturer and supplier in-house counsel and top attorneys.
Erfle represents manufacturers in the automobile, pharmaceutical, medical device, agricultural chemical and aviation industries, as well as companies involved in commercial disputes. She has served on national litigation teams and as regional counsel for clients, including several mass tort cases. She also successfully represented a major manufacturer who designed a 15-passenger van involved in a rollover accident, which resulted in multiple death and injury claims.
