Gordon & Rees to Present March 14 Webinar on Medical Marijuana, Prescription Drugs, Alcohol and Illegal Drugs in the Workplace

As part of the firm’s 2017 National Employment Law Webinar Series, Gordon & Rees will hold a webinar titled “Medical Marijuana, Prescription Drugs, Alcohol and Illegal Drugs in the Workplace,” on March 14 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. PST.

The live, monthly webinars offer free, practical training on current and emerging employment law issues for large and small companies. Gordon & Rees attorneys provide in-house counsel, human resources professionals, payroll managers, and others with a convenient way to stay up to speed so they can make well-informed employment decisions on a day-to-day basis and avoid the expense and uncertainty of litigation.

For the March webinar, attorneys from Gordon & Rees’s Employment Practice Group will provide attendees with practical guidance on the hiring and placement of employees using medical marijuana, prescription drugs, alcohol and illegal drugs in the workplace. Gordon & Rees Denver partner Laurie Rust will discuss how laws impact employers' policies regarding the use of drugs and alcohol, how to balance workplace safety with respect to the rights of employees, and give advice on changes that employers should make to workplace drug and alcohol policies. A Q&A session will follow the webinar.
