Construction Litigation Partner Brenda Radmacher Presents Negotiation Workshop at NAWIC-LA National Conference

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Los Angeles Construction Litigation Partner Brenda Radmacher will present a workshop and panel discussion for women in the construction industry on developing negotiation skills titled "She Negotiates: The Power of Negotiating Effectively" on September 18, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Flight Path Museum in Los Angeles. Radmacher will be the featured moderator and is joined by panelists Cathy Orquiola, District Manager of PCL Construction, Avygail Sanchez, V.P., Business Development at Parsons; and Carrie Schmidt, owner of BC Schmidt.

Radmacher and her panel will provide attendees with insight on negotiation skills and provide tips on how to develop and use your own sense of personal power so you can lean into your role with confidence and skill to become more effective in your negotiations. The panel will each share their experiences and expertise on key communication skills for influencing, negotiating and leading. They will also include a discussion on salary negotiations.

Brenda Radmacher specializes in construction, real estate, and employment litigation, regularly counseling general contractors, construction managers, design professionals, contractors, and owners on contract negotiations, risk management and disputes. Ms. Radmacher’s practice emphasizes resolving complex construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, and, when necessary, arbitration and litigation, on projects in California, nationwide, and internationally. She frequently addresses claims involving breach of contract, construction and design defects, liens, delays and impacts, construction defects, bonds and insurance issues (including among others, general liability, builder’s risk, professional liability and subcontractor default insurance), and represents many of the nation’s largest contractors and developers in the commercial, multifamily, and residential markets. She has substantial experience in building envelope, water infiltration and mold-related claims, having counseled clients with respect to hundreds of such matters. Ms. Radmacher has defended all types of cases including mass actions and class action claims, defending residential homebuilders, commercial contractors, and design professionals.
