Gordon & Rees Chicago Team Presents at 2018 PLRB Conference

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Chicago Insurance partners Craig Jacobson and Alexander Mahler presented "Bad Faith Damages in Third-Party Claims" at the 2018 PLRB Conference in Orlando, Florida on April 17 and 18, 2018. Kevin Willgang, Executive Counsel at Travelers Companies joined Jacobson and Mahler in delivering the presentation to more than 300 of the insurance industry's leading service provider organizations.

Their presentation covered issues surrounding bad faith damages including identifying good faith claim handling, dealing with bad faith set-ups, navigating multiple claimant/inadequate limit scenarios and understanding consent judgments. To view the group presentation, please click here.

Craig Jacobson concentrates his practice in litigation and the handling of coverage for complex insurance coverage disputes. Jacobson regularly represents domestic and international insurers in matters involving property policies, commercial general liability policies, financial institution coverages, commercial crime policies, director and officer liability policies, professional liability policies and specialty lines. 

Alex Mahler routinely represents domestic and international insurers as coverage and litigation counsel in jurisdictions throughout the country. Mahler's practice is focused on counseling insurers on the most complex coverage issues, preparing coverage analysis, and litigating those disputes in the jurisdiction in which they arise.

The Property & Liability Resource Bureau is a membership based insurance information organization whose purpose is to offer its members products and services at more efficiently or economically than they can generate for themselves. More specifically, the PLRB encourages productivity and efficiency in, the property and liability loss and claim adjustment processes of members and the industry as a whole; to disseminate information on property and liability issues among members and within the insurance industry and to promote education and new and beneficial developments within the property and casualty insurance industry.
