Insurance litigation partner Asim Desai will co-present "Ethical Issues Arising from Third-Party Bad Faith Setups and Consent Judgments" at DRI's Insurance Bad Faith and Extra-Contractual Liability seminar on Thursday, June 6 at 2:10 p.m. in Washington, D.C. Joining Desai as a co-presenter is Krista Horn-Watkins of Travelers.
Their presentation will focus on the not uncommon decision for policyholders or their counsel to manage a claim by "setting up" the carrier for a subsequent bad faith action, laying traps along the way. Desai and Horn-Watkins will discuss how the insurer can recognize when this is happening and how to employ strategies to prevent bad faith liability. They will also address ethical considerations and preventative strategies.
This three-day seminar will be held in Westin, Washington, D.C., City Center from June 5-7, 2019. For more information, please click here.
