Partners Brian Middlebrook and Justin Holmes of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani will participate in the 14th Annual Cyber Liability Insurance ExecuSummit, a conference focused on emerging issues in cyber risk, insurance, and data privacy litigation, held in Connecticut on March 11 and 12.
Middlebrook will serve as conference co-chair and moderate the panel discussion “Data Breach Litigation – Settlements, Class Certification, and Defense Strategies.” Panelists include David Rock of Trium Cyber, Adia Perry of Liberty Mutual Insurance – Ironshore, Carolyn Purwin Ryan of Mullen Coughlin, and Keisha Johnson of Tokio Marine.
Holmes will participate in the panel “Privacy & Data Tracking Litigation: Pixels, VPPA, BIPA & Beyond,” which will explore the growing wave of litigation involving website tracking technologies and evolving privacy statutes such as the Video Privacy Protection Act and Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
Middlebrook is a partner in the firm’s New York office and co-chair of the Cyber, Privacy & Data Security practice group. His practice focuses on cybersecurity, technology, media, and complex commercial litigation.
Holmes is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office with a national practice centered on defending organizations in class actions and other data privacy and technology-related litigation. He represents clients in complex privacy, regulatory and cybersecurity matters across a range of industries.
