Robert joins the Hartford office as a member of the Construction practice group. He represents contractors, design professionals, owners, manufacturers, and sureties regarding a variety of claims involving defective design and construction, change orders and delays, mechanics' liens, bid disputes, and surety bonds. He has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts, including the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts, as well as in arbitrations and mediations. Robert earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and his A.B. from Vassar College.

Violaine Brunet, Associate |
Violaine joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She has extensive experience representing individuals and corporate clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit, discovery, law and motion work (including successful summary judgments), oral arguments, pre-litigation negotiations, and settlements. She focuses her practice on commercial disputes, intellectual property (patent, trademark, and copyright matters), breach of contract, bankruptcy, negligence, premises liability matters, and landlord/tenant disputes. Violaine earned her LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and her B.S. from Concordia University.

Catherine Cranford, Associate |
Catherine joins the Oakland office as a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group. While at her prior firm, Catherine split her practice doing premises liability defense and civil rights defense. There, she practiced heavily in federal court. She previously handled complex and high-stake cases in state and federal court on a wide variety of matters including: toxic tort, product liability, and automobile litigation. Catherine earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Georgia.

Mickey joins the Dallas office as a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group. She is an experienced litigator with extensive knowledge of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. She zealously represented the State of Texas and the City of Dallas in numerous criminal and civil proceedings. Mickey earned her J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and her B.A. from Texas Woman’s University.

Todd joins the Hartford office as a member of the Construction practice group. He has a wide range of experience representing all players in the architecture, engineering, and construction community in project-related claims, and in negotiating and drafting construction agreements. He regularly advises construction managers, trade contractors, owners, and design professionals in disputes concerning project delays and inefficiencies, defective design and construction, unfair trade practices, bad faith, bond claims, and mechanic's liens. He counsels clients in the negotiation of complex construction agreements and has extensive experience representing sureties with respect to payment and performance bond claims, contractor defaults, takeover and completion agreements, and the defense of bad faith claims. Todd earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College.

Chad joins the Oakland office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. He has been practicing employment law in California since 2009, with a particular focus on litigating wage and hour class actions. His wage and hour cases have covered the gamut of California claims and industries, including retail, technology, transportation, janitorial, healthcare, telecommunication, and sales. He also has extensive experience with discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, and retaliation claims under federal law and California law. Chad earned his J.D. from the New College of California School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Abigail joins the Manchester office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She has twenty years of experience working in the area of financial fraud, including a significant period of time addressing the needs of victims, many elderly. Most recently, she served as Special Counsel to the NH State Bank Commissioner in his capacity as Liquidator of a trust company, in connection with which, she helped victims of a ponzi scheme and life insurance fraud recover funds they had invested. She now focuses her practice on helping fraud victims, with a focus on elderly fraud victims and on Medicaid planning and the application process. Abigail earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from Yale University.

Peter joins the Boston office as a member of the Construction practice group. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts in a wide variety of litigation matters. He has served as a neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and has also appeared before various arbitration tribunals on behalf of clients. He routinely represents owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors, and trade contractors. He counsels them regarding claims for breach of contract and warranty, defective and deficient plans and specifications, construction defects, insurance disputes, project delays, impacts and inefficiency claims, and wrongful terminations. He has also represented some of the largest sureties in the country in actions involving bond defaults and in defense of bad faith claims on both public and private projects. Peter earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.S. from Old Dominion University.
