GRSM Continues to Support, Recognize, and Celebrate the LGBTQ+ Community

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani proudly honors and celebrates our talented LGBTQ+ employees, clients, and allies throughout the year, with a particular focus during the month of June. Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots, which began on June 28, 1969, when police raided the Stonewall Inn in New York City, sparking a series of protests and igniting the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

The Stonewall uprising served as a pivotal moment for emerging civil, women’s, and gay rights movements. One year later, the nation saw its first gay pride marches.

Our firm is unwavering in its continued commitment to equality for all, striving to build and sustain an inclusive workplace that honors and celebrates diversity. “The firm remains committed to supporting our LGBTQ+ community and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect where equal opportunities for growth and achievement are available to all concerned,” said Firmwide Managing Partner Dion Cominos.

The mission of GRSM’s LGBTQ Affinity Group is to address the unique issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and to provide support and mentoring opportunities for its members. This group, which is open to all attorneys, also collaborates with regional and national LGBTQ+ organizations that are aligned with its mission. For nine consecutive years, the firm has achieved a score of 100 on the Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
