Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Pittsburgh Partner Brian Kane, supported by Associate Natalie Murphy and Paralegal Rachel Phillips, secured a defense verdict on behalf of a national conveyor manufacturer in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
The plaintiff was injured when he tripped a sensor while walking on an above-ground mesh belt conveyor while carrying out his work duties at a box manufacturing plant. The conveyor then moved, causing the plaintiff to fall 30 inches to the ground, resulting in a serious left leg injury. The plaintiff claimed that the conveyor was defectively designed and lacked sufficient warnings.
After a four-day trial, the jury determined that the conveyor was not the cause of the accident and returned a defense verdict. The outcome reinforces the capabilities of GRSM’s Commercial Litigation practice in handling complex cases and its commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
