GRSM Ranked Among Top 100 Largest Law Firms in New York by New York Law Journal

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has been ranked among the top 100 largest law firms in New York, based on in-state attorney headcount, by New York Law Journal (NYLJ), an ALM publication.

GRSM was among the out-of-state firms recognized for rapid expansion in New York, with a headcount increase of 10.1% from 2023 to 2024. According to NYLJ, New York’s status as the world’s largest legal market, with the highest billing rates, complex cases, and well-funded clients, has attracted increased competition. The rising presence of firms founded outside of the state, like GRSM, has reshaped the market, allowing them to gain market share from established New York-based law firms.

This local recognition comes as GRSM continues its rise on the national stage, recently earning the #11 spot among the largest U.S. law firms, according to Law360. GRSM’s consistent upward momentum was also recently recognized as the fastest growth rate among Am Law 100 firms.

“Earning a spot on the NYLJ 100 is a testament to the depth and dedication of our attorneys across New York,” said the leadership of GRSM’s New York offices in a joint statement. “Our steady growth in this competitive legal market across multiple practice areas reflects our commitment to client service, collaboration across offices, and our ability to handle complex matters throughout the state.”

GRSM’s New York presence began in 2005 with the founding of the New York City office by Mercedes Colwin.
