Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani St. Louis Partners Jay Morris and Erin Salfen, along with Associate Adam Arnold, secured summary judgment in a multi-party contract, development, and construction suit, saving GRSM’s clients millions in possible financial exposure.
The case involved breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, fraud, and equity claims regarding a development project. GRSM moved for summary judgment on behalf of the firm’s clients based on the economic loss doctrine, the plaintiffs’ foreknowledge of the venture, and the lack of any factual evidence supporting the plaintiffs’ claims.
The court agreed and dismissed all claims against GRSM’s clients, as well as the plaintiffs’ pending motion for punitive damages. This result underscores the strength of the firm’s Construction practice and GRSM’s ability to secure favorable results for our clients.
