Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Julie Bhattacharya Peak as a Partner in the firm’s Nashville office. She strengthens the Commercial Litigation and Casualty practices, deepening the firm’s bench in Tennessee.
Peak is a veteran trial attorney and risk management advisor with more than 25 years of litigation experience directly handling complex civil litigation matters in the areas of product liability, construction, professional negligence, negligent security, trucking, employment, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation through trial and appeal at the state and federal level.

She is returning to the private practice of law after spending 13 years in-house with a top ten global property and casualty insurer where she established and led the staff counsel operations for Tennessee, Missouri, and Kansas. With a deep understanding of risk management and the need for efficiency in litigation, Peak is known for executing aggressive and focused litigation strategies to optimize outcomes for her clients. She is also a skilled mediator who facilitates the resolution of complex multi-party disputes.
Peak is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Missouri, and Kansas. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies from Rhodes College and her law degree from the University of Memphis. She began her career as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. William C. Koch of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
