Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Partners Quyen Thi Le and Kelly M. Lippincott have been named Co-Chairs of the firm’s Insurance practice. They will be replacing Partner Matthew Foy, who has served as Chair of the firm’s Insurance practice for more than a decade and will remain involved with the group’s management during a transitionary period.

Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Le has extensive experience representing insurance carriers in coverage and bad faith litigation, handling issues such as breach of duties to defend or indemnify, policy limits demands, failure to investigate, unfair claims handling, unreasonable coverage denials, misrepresentation of policy terms, and retaliation. She also provides coverage advice for first- and third-party claims under various insurance policies, including commercial general liability, professional liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, and building and personal property.
Based in the firm’s Alexandria office, Lippincott advises insurers on a variety of matters, including bad faith, and defends insurers in federal and state courts. She has litigated disputes involving property coverage, life insurance coverage, and additional insureds, as well as other areas of coverage. Lippincott has first-chaired dozens of jury and bench trials in federal and state courts in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She has also argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
