Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has named Partner Susan Best Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Chicago office. She will serve alongside James Hiller in leading the office.
Best, a longtime member of GRSM’s Chicago team, represents public and private entities in complex employment and commercial litigation. She also counsels employers on workplace and compliance matters, including Title IX, anti-discrimination policies, accommodations, leave management, and employment practices.
“Susan has been an important contributor to the continued growth and success of our Chicago office, and we are pleased to welcome her into this leadership role,” said Hiller. “She brings strong judgment, a collaborative approach and a clear commitment to our people and our clients.”
Best’s appointment comes as GRSM continues to expand its presence in Chicago. Founded in 2008, the office has grown into one of the firm’s largest locations and includes attorneys handling litigation and transactional matters across a broad range of industries and practice areas.
In 2026, Best was named a Notable Leader in Accounting, Consulting & Law by Crain’s Chicago Business. She was also recognized by Law Bulletin Media as a 2025 Top Women in Law honoree and among its “40 Under Forty” Illinois attorneys in 2024.
