Abigail Downs focuses her practice on commercial litigation. She represents businesses and individuals in disputes involving construction, employment, insurance defense, and professional liability matters. Abigail handles all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial.

Abigail has experience across a range of complex disputes, including insurance defense, personal injury, toxic tort, contract disputes, and employment matters. Having worked on both sides of the docket, she brings a well-rounded perspective to case strategy and knows how to anticipate and counter opposing counsel’s approach before it gains traction. As a mediator, she is equally skilled at steering disputes toward resolution — identifying the right moment to negotiate and achieving outcomes that serve her clients’ long-term interests.

Before becoming an attorney, Abigail spent years in the business world managing contracts, negotiations, risk exposure, and compliance across commercial and construction operations. That experience gave her an appreciation for what is truly at stake when litigation disrupts a business — and informs how she communicates with clients, builds strategy, and fights for outcomes that protect their bottom line.
