Senior Counsel

Andre Hunter, Jr., a former Illinois Assistant Attorney General, is a nationwide litigator trusted by clients to defend high-exposure lawsuits and deliver cost-effective results.

As an all-tort defense litigator, he handles complex product liability, premises liability, mass tort, and environmental and toxic tort matters, including PFAS (“forever chemicals”), asbestos, talc, ammonia, and benzene litigation.

He also advises companies on workplace policies, non-compete and employment agreements, breach of contract disputes, and other commercial matters, while representing employers in wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment matters.

Andre serves on multiple National Coordinating Counsel teams, helping lead nationwide litigation strategy by coordinating local counsel, directing discovery, and developing expert-driven defenses. He is also frequently retained to argue high-stakes motions and serve as lead negotiator on large-scale dockets across jurisdictions.

In the legal community, Andre is the incoming 2026 Second Vice Chair and 2028 Chair-Elect of the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association. A published author and frequent CLE presenter, he previously served as Chair of the Tort Law Committee and Co-Chair of the AI & Future of Legal Education Committee, and has received the Rising Star and Impact Awards for his contributions to young lawyers and law students.

Andre earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was selected for the Philip H. Corboy Fellowship and competed on a mock trial team ranked #2 in the nation. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he served as Senior Class President for the Class of 2017

Of African-American and Filipino descent, Andre is fluent in Tagalog. Outside of his practice, he enjoys basketball, the outdoors, and spending time with family in the Philippines.
