Aya Deam has more than 20 years of litigation experience defending her clients over several practice areas. Aya defends her clients cohesively and effectively because she handles claims over various specialties. Aya regularly represents professionals in liability disputes across a variety of industries. She represents luxury and upscale hospitality clients and long-term care facilities in all aspects, including sensitive allegations of abuse and sexual abuse. Additionally, she litigates traditional business claims of contract interference, unfair competition, breach of contract, and consumer class actions.

In order to meet her clients’ full scope of litigation needs, Aya also has deep experience in employment litigation. She represents employers against claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. She also provides internal investigations and counseling of best practices and compliance to best avoid and minimize litigation.

Aya graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara majoring in Political Science and studied International Relations in Tokyo, Japan for two years. She received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Prior to joining GRSM, she worked at boutique firms, specializing in insurance coverage and the defense of design professionals.
