Barbara Graham has extensive court and trial experience and has also negotiated entertainment contracts with some of the top attorneys in Michigan, Missouri and nationwide.

Before joining GRSM, Barbara worked with a Michigan defense firm representing one of the country’s largest retailers, handling numerous premises liability cases. She has also represented insurance companies and their insureds, obtaining dismissals of numerous fraudulent claims by plaintiffs and by medical providers, and settling others through negotiations and skilled advocacy in facilitations and case evaluation hearings.

Barbara’s focus is on protecting her client’s rights and looking out for their best interests. She believes this is accomplished by always being prepared for every court hearing, deposition, and settlement conference, diligent research, obtaining background information on opposing parties, and having the client well prepared.

  • Achieved dismissal of a breach of contract claim filed by a mother against a life insurer where Barbara discovered fraud in the deceased son’s application for insurance.
  • Settled a potentially high exposure auto accident claim using an accident reconstructionist to prove that her client was not responsible for the accident.
  • Obtained a Summary Judgment dismissal of a national pizza company from a case where a franchisee’s driver was involved in an accident.
  • Negotiated recording artist agreements with numerous big record labels.
  • Handled all the legal paperwork for album releases by numerous high-profile recording artists.
