Brianne Habit focuses her practice in the areas of healthcare, professional liability, and general liability. She frequently represents healthcare providers, hospitals, and other professionals in complex civil litigation. She also regularly represents professionals before licensing boards and administrative agencies throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Brianne regularly practices in state and federal court in both North Carolina and South Carolina. 

Healthcare

Brianne routinely defends malpractice claims against healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, and long-term care facilities in personal injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.  In addition, she represents a variety of professionals before licensing boards throughout North Carolina, including medical, dental, nursing, psychology, and all mental health boards. She also has experience representing clients providing correctional healthcare in jails and prisons.

Brianne also represents physicians, nurses, other medical providers, and mental health professionals subpoenaed to testify at deposition or trial in matters where they are not the target defendant, providing advice and counsel on how best to avoid becoming a target and testify within their ethical requirements.

General Liability

Brianne represents individuals and corporations in a variety of cases and claims in general civil matters, including matters involving intentional torts, property damage, premises liability, and breach of contract. Brianne also represents businesses and manufacturers in products liability and personal injury claims.
