Property litigation attorney Christopher E. Canton represents commercial & multi-tenant property owners, asset managers, contractors, brokers and investors in resolving disputes. Christopher assists clients in land related disagreements, trust & estate problems, lessor-lessee issues, fiduciary breach, construction defect claims and commercial litigation.

Christopher has extensive experience litigating real property related lawsuits including complex and contested hearings, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and having briefed cases before the California Court of Appeal on several occasions. Concentrating in real property law, tenant & leasing disputes, portfolio management, water use rights, contract negotiations, ordinances, zoning statutes and interaction with tenant spaces, Christopher is dedicated to litigating for and advising owners, managers, trustees and leaseholders towards optimal outcomes with a logical, focused and responsive strategy.

Christopher’s knowledge of real property law stems from a background in sale and exchange transactions of shopping centers in California. Christopher facilitated lucrative commercial real estate ventures by negotiating real property purchase agreements, tenant leases, contract assignments, estoppel certificates, survey review, analyzing title, drafting title objections, forming entities, reviewing loan documents and managing post-closing obligations.
