Christian VanDenBerghe primarily focuses his practice on civil litigation matters, spanning both commercial and tort litigation. In his commercial practice, Christian represents banks, private lenders, corporate borrowers, and brokers in a wide range of financial and contractual disputes. He regularly handles complex matters involving foreclosure actions, lender liability, secured transactions, and business contract litigation. His experience includes pre-litigation negotiation, injunctive relief, and litigation through trial and appeal in both state and federal courts.

In his tort and product liability practice, he represents national and international automotive manufacturers, as well as other product manufacturers, in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. His practice also includes defending clients in premises liability matters, intentional torts, and elder abuse. Specific to elder abuse defense, Christian has defended assisted living and skilled nursing facilities against claims of elder abuse, neglect, and wrongful death. He is experienced in navigating the nuanced statutory and regulatory framework that governs elder care litigation in California and works closely with facility operators to manage risk and resolve claims efficiently.
