Christina R. King

Senior Counsel

Christina R. King is an experienced civil litigator with a diverse background in employment law, personal injury, landlord/tenant, business and contractual disputes, trade secret misappropriation, construction defect, wills and trusts, and animal law and animal rights. Christina is focused on high-stakes, complex employment class actions in both state and federal courts. Christina has spent the last few years of her career focusing on employment law, representing businesses and individuals on FEHA and Title VII matters, wage and hour and PAGA matters, as well as employment class actions.

Christina has also dedicated her recent practice to drafting and evaluating employee handbooks to ensure businesses remain in compliance with the ever-changing California employment laws. Christina is also Chief Financial Officer of her church.

Christina prefers the personal touch when it comes to client relationships, engaging with clients on an individual level and ensuring clients understand the often daunting and intimidating litigation process. Christina has sat second chair in trial and successfully resolved numerous cases in mediation and arbitration. Christina has also successfully resolved numerous cases pre-litigation.

Christina’s most recent accomplishments include:

  • While representing a small start-up business, Christina resolved a disability discrimination claim in mediation.
  • While representing a construction company, Christina successfully recovered all monies due to her in client in a breach of contract dispute.
  • As Chief Financial Officer, Christina successfully works with the church to ensure compliance with insurance and tax laws as a non-profit organization.
  • While representing a class of employees, Christina successfully resolved a class action against a business engaged in criminal activity.

While attending Pepperdine School of Law, Christina was Vice President of Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and took great pride in holding on-campus meetings to inform people of their rights as animal parents. Christina continues to be involved in animal rescue and the local humane societies.
