Christine McCoy focuses her practice on defending clients in personal injury litigation, including specifically matters involving catastrophic injuries. Christine has successfully defended government entities, employers, owners and managers of commercial and multi-family residential properties, small businesses, and private individuals against personal injury actions. She has also handled a variety of general liability matters, including property damage subrogation, breach of construction contract, and defense of actions for alleged violations of the Collateral Recovery Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

s a former plaintiff’s attorney, Christine has personal knowledge of the methods and tactics used by the plaintiffs’ bar, and utilizes this knowledge to zealously advocate for clients in defending personal injury actions.

  • Successfully compelled complete indemnification of a municipality by a public utility company, thereby eliminating the municipality’s financial exposure.
  • Secured dismissal with prejudice of motel owner who was the sole defendant in a wrongful death action.
  • Successfully negotiated global settlement of fire damage subrogation claims within policy limits where the total value of claims exceeded policy limits by 450%.
  • Negotiated good-faith settlement and secured early dismissal of defendant party host in an action involving the near-drowning of a minor.
