Danielle Olson is a results-driven commercial litigator at Udall Shumway who represents companies and executives in business disputes, intellectual property matters, trademark cases, and trade secret cases. Her practice spans contract and business-tort claims, trade-secret claims under the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”) and the Arizona Uniform Trade Secrets Act (“AUTSA”), construction and real-estate litigation, intellectual property litigation, and related insurance coverage questions. Before joining the firm in 2024, she handled complex commercial, construction, and personal-injury matters and served as assistant corporate counsel for a healthcare provider—experience that gives her an in-house perspective on risk, strategy, and business objectives.

She has handled matters across the construction, real estate, healthcare, finance, insurance and employment sectors. In addition to litigation, Danielle advises businesses on formation, corporate governance, and tailored commercial agreements to prevent disputes and protect enterprise value. Danielle earned her J.D. from DePaul College of Law, where she received the CALI Award in Business Planning and a Certificate in Taxation. She partners with owners, executives, and general counsel to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.

  • Won summary judgment in federal district court defending a trademark infringement claim by demonstrating no likelihood of confusion under the Lanham Act.
  • Successfully defended client against trade secret misappropriation claims under the Defend Trade Secrets Act and the Arizona Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
  • Protected client against claim for breach of non-disclosure agreement for disclosure of confidential information.
  • Won summary judgment in state court to invalidate deeds of trust on a commercial property due to the fact that the deeds of trust were recorded after the recording of a lis pendens.
  • Obtained a temporary restraining order against former employee for breach of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, preventing imminent harm to client’s business interests.
  • Settled rear-end accident personal injury claim for policy limits,
  • Won temporary restraining order and preliminary injunctive relief that prevented our client’s business competitor from directly competing with our client in violation of an employment agreement and prohibiting our client’s business competitor from possessing, controlling, disclosing, or using our client’s confidential proprietary, or trade secret information.
