Derek T. Scadden

Derek Scadden brings a wealth of experience in trial and appellate litigation. Prior to joining GRSM, Derek spent ten years at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of General Counsel, Benefits Law Group, where he served as the Deputy Chief Counsel. Derek worked on over 200 cases at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and dozens of cases at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Additionally, Derek spent four years as a prosecutor at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where he litigated numerous jury and bench trials, evidentiary hearings, and grand jury presentations as a member of the Narcotics, Grand Jury, and General Crimes Bureaus.
