Diane Webster is widely regarded as a leading trial lawyer in high-exposure civil litigation. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only organization limited to no more than 1% of the lawyer population in any state or province and considered one of the highest distinctions within the North American trial bar. Fellowship is conferred only after rigorous peer review and sustained demonstration of exceptional trial advocacy, professional integrity, and courtroom leadership.

She has consistently been recognized as a Super Lawyer, listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and was named the 2024 HLAI Latina Lawyer of the Year.

Diane represents hospitals and physicians, medical and surgical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, insurance carriers, governmental entities, school districts, and corporations in their most complex and consequential disputes. She is regularly entrusted with multimillion-dollar and catastrophic matters involving medical negligence, birth trauma, obstetrical and neonatal injury, neurologic injury, and alleged defective or malfunctioning medical devices.

Her practice also encompasses products liability, pharmaceutical litigation, municipal and government litigation, and high-risk general liability matters, including sexual abuse, wrongful death, premises liability, and significant personal injury claims. In the commercial arena, she defends sophisticated class action litigation under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

Sources note her strategic command of complex medical and technical evidence, meticulous trial preparation, and ability to manage cases involving significant financial exposure and reputational risk. Clients rely on her not only for trial skill, but for strategic counsel that mitigates risk, protects reputations, and positions cases for decisive resolution.

Diane previously served as Chicago Office Managing Partner of her former firm, the first woman in its history to hold the role, and served on its Executive, Hiring, and Attorney Life Committees, reflecting both market recognition and internal leadership.
