- Defense of a nationally-known company and its chief executive officer in an action alleging fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and corporate malfeasance brought by shareholders of a defunct technology company. The case was dismissed with prejudice at the pleading stage
- Defense of officers and directors of a California technology company accused of breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, corporate malfeasance and other business torts arising from the disputed ownership of patents. This case was also dismissed at the pleading stage, with prejudice
- Defense of an environmental testing company and its officers accused of the theft of trade secrets and breach of non-competition agreements. This case was dismissed, with prejudice, after the filing of a pleading challenge
- Defense of an agency of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in a federal interpleader action brought by a prominent university seeking a declaration of the owners of diaries, papers and artifacts of the late Taiwan primers Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo. The action was dismissed on grounds of forum non conveniens and transferred to Taiwan for adjudication
- Prosecution of a civil action on behalf of a California holding company for breach of an asset purchase agreement, resulting in a judgment in favor of the client and an award of its attorney’s fees.
- Prosecution of a civil action in federal district court for violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and other federal and state laws brought on behalf of a California technology company. The case was resolved after entry of an injunction sought by the client.
