Eric Alvarez focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation for clients involved in business, real estate, construction, and franchise disputes in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts. Additionally, Eric represents businesses in employment litigation, whether that involves allegations of discrimination or theft of trade secrets.

Prior to joining GRSM, Eric represented one of New Jersey’s largest real estate developers with respect to its various litigation needs. Eric represents businesses across a variety of industries, including construction, higher education, healthcare, and telecommunications. Eric tries to find practical solutions to complex business problems and always works to achieve his clients’ goals and objectives from the outset of litigation.

In addition to his professional life, Eric is active in his local community, serving on his town’s zoning board of adjustment.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of real estate developer in breach of contract action against adjoining property for unpaid use of client’s property, resulting in trial on damages.
  • Obtained summary judgment in partnership dispute regarding purchase of land for development in Florida, which involved questions of both New Jersey and Florida law.
  • Successfully resolved dispute stemming from $10 million sale of business for full value of claim.
