Erin M. Young is a seasoned litigator with more than 25 years of experience representing businesses and individuals in professional and general liability matters, business and contractual disputes, and other complex litigation. She regularly counsels and defends clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation and risk assessment through trial and appeal. Her clients have ranged from private individuals, large corporations, and closely held businesses to public figures and other high-profile defendants facing significant legal, reputational, and financial exposure. Erin has a proven record of success both in and out of the courtroom, having tried dozens of cases to verdict and negotiated the resolution of numerous complex, high-exposure disputes.

Erin’s experience includes defending professionals against malpractice and disciplinary claims, as well as handling a broad range of commercial and contractual disputes. As former in-house counsel for a national hospitality company, she also brings a practical business perspective to high-stakes litigation and is skilled at developing efficient, strategic solutions tailored to client objectives. In that role, she worked closely with business leaders to manage litigation, assess risk, and make strategic decisions that balanced legal considerations with operational and financial objectives. That experience broadened her perspective beyond the traditional role of outside counsel, providing firsthand insight into the challenges clients face when legal disputes intersect with business priorities.

Erin currently serves as President of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, reflecting her leadership within the legal profession and her commitment to advancing the interests of the defense bar throughout North Carolina.
