Erin S. Conlin is Senior Counsel in GRSM’s Minneapolis office and an employment litigator who represents companies in complex disputes in state and federal courts. She has litigated well over 100 matters and handles cases spanning all stages of employment litigation, from pre-suit strategy and motion practice through trial, post-trial proceedings, and appeal. Her clients range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
- Defended a major hospital system through trial in a matter brought by a former employee manager, securing a complete defense verdict in a case involving $9 million in alleged damages.
- Obtained a complete defense verdict in a jury trial involving claims of race discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation brought by a former employee.
- Obtained summary judgment dismissing disability discrimination and failure-to-accommodate claims brought against a senior living company.
- Obtained a unanimous defense verdict in a jury trial defending a major bank against claims of age discrimination and retaliation, defeating a damages demand exceeding $12 million.
- Defended a nonprofit senior housing organization in a jury trial, obtaining a favorable defense verdict on multiple claims and narrowing the case and alleged damages through a motion for judgment as a matter of law; successfully obtained affirmance from the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
- Obtained summary judgment dismissing sex discrimination and defamation claims brought by a former employee against a community bank; successfully obtained affirmance from the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
- Defended a legal malpractice claim in a jury trial arising from an underlying employment matter involving a plaintiff’s attorney, securing a complete defense verdict with no liability.
