Fernando Hugo Silva is a multistate attorney licensed in Indiana and Illinois whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, product and general liability, and employment law. Before returning to private practice, Fernando served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Fernando previously practiced at a national law firm, representing corporate clients, insurers, employers, and individuals in a wide range of litigation matters. His work included defending commercial disputes, general liability actions, and employment-related claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour issues. As a result of his judicial clerkship experience, Fernando has a deep understanding of the litigation process.

Before pursuing a career in law, Fernando served in the U.S. Navy as a turbine technician for four years. In recognition of his actions during a disaster relief operation, he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal.

  • Successfully defended an employment agreement dispute involving claims totaling over $247,000, including $200,000 for severance pay, $8,118 for paid time off, and $39,866 in consequential damages for lost shares.
  • Drafted numerous position statements in response to EEOC charges, resulting in the dismissal of claims against clients.
  • Reached Settlement/Consent Order for client with Prosecutor for Medical Division of IDFPR (Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation).
