In addition to his courtroom work, Futhum has successfully resolved numerous matters through mediation, applying a strategic and cost-effective approach to dispute resolution.
Additionally, Futhum has experience defending health care providers and medical organizations against personal injury claims, including allegations of negligence, improper care, and other liability issues arising from the delivery of medical services. His practice includes managing complex litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial, coordinating with medical experts, and navigating regulatory compliance issues that often intersect with civil claims. He has represented hospitals, physician groups, long-term care facilities, and allied health professionals in both state and federal courts.
Before beginning his legal career, Futhum founded and operated Sock Fancy, a direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform. Under his leadership, the company grew from a startup into a nationally recognized brand, shipping millions of products to customers in over 80 countries. In 2022, the company was successfully acquired, marking a highly successful entrepreneurial exit. This experience sharpened Futhum’s strategic thinking, operational discipline, and client-first mindset—skills he now brings to his legal practice every day.
Outside the office, Futhum enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids, and their dog Roger. Together, they love watching movies, playing soccer, and exploring local parks.
