Helen Barefield focuses her practice on employment law matters. Helen’s practice encompasses representing and defending employers in single, multi-plaintiff, and class action matters throughout California. She defends employers in all phases of litigation involving claims of retaliation, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), failure to accommodate, wage and hour violations, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other employment-related claims. Helen collaborates with her clients to develop strategic defense, discovery, and resolution strategies to efficiently represent her clients’ interests. Helen routinely works on high-exposure claims and is often able to assist in obtaining early and favorable resolution.
