Humberto Castorena focuses his practice on representing public entities in single-plaintiff employment disputes.

Prior to joining GRSM, Humberto developed his litigation skills at a boutique firm litigating employment class and representative actions. He gained experience across the various stages of litigation such as pre-litigation assessments, pleadings, motion practice, ADR, and settlement negotiations.

Humberto earned his law degree from the Cardozo School of Law in New York City and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from UC Berkeley. During both undergraduate studies and law school, he interned at various nonprofits and government agencies, experiences that now inform his commitment to his institutional clients.

Outside of work, Humberto enjoys working out, going to live shows, and playing beach volleyball.
