Isabela A. Possino

Associate

As a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Employment practice groups, Isabela represents public and privately held corporations in a range of legal matters, including employment discrimination, trade secret misappropriation, and product and premises liability claims under federal and state law.

Isabela has experience handling all phases of litigation, including drafting responsive pleadings, dispositive motions, and written discovery, as well as conducting extensive document reviews, preparing for depositions, and assisting with trial preparation.

Isabela is a graduate of the SMU Dedman School of Law, where she earned the Dean’s Scholarship Award and a Best Oral Advocate Award winner in the Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition. She held several leadership roles, including serving as the President of the SMU Science & Technology Law Review. In that position, she organized and presented an Artificial Intelligence Symposium, which attracted legal scholars and attorneys from several Fortune 500 companies, drawing over 100 attendees from across the country.

Isabela also served as the Chief Counsel for the SMU Child Advocacy Clinic and advocated for children facing abuse and neglect within the Texas Child Welfare Court System, acting both as Attorney-ad-litem and Guardian-ad-litem. In this position, Isabela drafted motions, argued in court hearings, participated in document production, and prepared for trial.

During her third year of law school, Isabela worked as a Legal Extern with the Neiman Marcus Group, one of the largest multi-brand luxury retailers in the world. In this role, she primarily focused on data privacy and commercial contracts, which included revising company policies and drafting agreements with brands, influencers, and venues.
