Jacquelyne (“Jackie”) Fiala is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Nashville office. She handles a broad spectrum of complex commercial litigation claims. Jackie has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving construction law, contract and non-compete issues, product liability, employment issues, trade secrets, homeowners’ associations, personal injury defense, and fraud and other associated business torts. Jackie also has substantial experience with front-end contract needs including negotiating, drafting, and advising corporate clients, particularly those in the construction industry.
- Successfully pursued lien claims against a defunct business piercing the corporate veil to hold the individual owners liability for the corporate debts owed to client.
- Represented a small family-owned business in a jury trial in Tennessee state court on breach of contract claims, which resulted in a jury verdict in the client’s favor.
- Represented a homeowners’ association client in the enforcement of liens for non-payment of assessments resulting in summary judgment for the HOA client and successfully defending against the subsequent appeal.
