Jelani Culley handles commercial litigation matters, particularly with respect to Japanese clients. Jelani has experience with a broad range of disputes, including those related to intellectual property, sports, and entertainment. He provides key insight based on fact investigation; conducts discovery projects; and crafts legal strategy in furtherance of motions, pleadings, and oral argument.

Prior to joining GRSM, Jelani worked at a law firm in New York where he represented Japanese multinational corporations in matters relating to patent infringement, securities violations, and antitrust.

Outside of the office, he enjoys Japanese animation, sports, and video games.

  • Contributed to the successful representation of a Japanese LED manufacturer in its patent defense against a California entity, in which a judgment of dismissal was granted in favor of the manufacturer.
