Jessica Bland is an experienced energy and natural resources attorney who represents corporations in complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. Her practice includes contract disputes, product liability, premises liability, environmental claims, wrongful death claims, and class actions.

She has extensive experience litigating lawsuits arising out of natural resources operations, including royalty disputes, vendor disputes, manufacturing concerns, industrial incidents, and accidents. In addition, Jessica provides legal opinions, and any policy questions, on contractual language and potential interpretations, including master services agreements, oil and gas leases, joint development agreements, drilling contracts, and gathering contracts.

Prior to attending law school, Jessica worked at a start-up e-commerce company, helping them launch to the public and then ran their operations and logistics team. Jessica then went on to start and operate her own company and continued to run that company during her tenure in law school and her first year in practice.

Electronically Stored Information (ESI)

Jessica is particularly adept at guiding clients to comply with the myriad of duties connected to discovery of electronically stored data as a litigant or non-party responding to a subpoena. In high-stakes litigation, a smart and cost-efficient approach to ESI compliance is essential. Jessica has deep experience in overseeing the identification, collection, preservation, review and production of ESI. Clients seek out her assistance with third-party subpoenas and electronic discovery, especially when they are concerned about divulging trade secrets or other confidential information.
