Jessica Shilling-Barrera’s practice includes a wide variety of civil litigation matters, from real property, personal injury and corporate disputes to representation of public entities.
- Assisted in providing comprehensive day-to-day legal services to a city in San Benito County as an associate in the city attorney’s office. This work included providing legal support for code enforcement efforts (including receiverships), as well as drafting agreements related to proposed development in the jurisdiction.
- Reviewed meaningful contracts (many over $1 million) for services and purchase/sale of real property. This work included analysis of background materials, including review of title records associated with target real property.
- Pursued generous settlement awards for private clients, while remaining budget conscious in line with the value of each matter.
