Julian K. Jones

Senior Counsel

Julian K. Jones represents businesses and corporate clients in complex commercial litigation and high-stakes civil disputes. Julian focuses on helping companies navigate litigation risk while advancing practical strategies that protect business interests. He regularly advises clients through every stage of litigation, from early case evaluation and discovery strategy to dispositive motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.

Julian has experience representing corporate defendants in complex civil litigation across state and federal courts. His work includes defending companies in matters involving toxic tort allegations, commercial disputes, and other high-exposure claims. He plays a key role in developing litigation strategy, drafting dispositive motions, managing discovery in multi-party cases, and preparing witnesses and experts for deposition and trial. Julian has also participated in complex multi-district litigation, supporting national litigation teams representing corporate clients facing coordinated claims.

Earlier in his career, Julian handled a wide range of business and statutory litigation matters, including federal consumer protection claims and commercial disputes between business entities. He also represented companies in ad valorem tax disputes across multiple Texas jurisdictions. These experiences provided him with substantial courtroom and case-management experience, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, appearing in hearings, participating in mediations, and guiding matters toward resolution.

Julian earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he served as a federal judicial extern to the Honorable Harlin D. Hale of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. During law school, he also participated in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Student Honors Program and served as a student attorney in SMU’s Civil Clinic, where he represented clients in Texas district courts. He received his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Texas.
