Kara McCabe Cowcer focuses her practice on consumer financial services, complex commercial litigation, and professional liability. Kara has a strong record of success in litigating a wide array of matters. Her prior experience includes representing corporate clients in managing litigation from beginning to end, including preparation of exposure liability analyses, anticipatory budgets, and other risk management reports. She has substantial experience in handling civil and commercial claims at all phases of the arbitration, mediation, and settlement process.

Kara graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2018 and is a recipient of the Entrepreneurship Law Certificate, which is awarded to law students focusing on legal issues surrounding innovation, technology, and preparing to represent new ventures, startups, and growing commercial companies. While in law school, she participated in the Brooklyn Law’s Incubator and Policy Clinic where she gained hands-on experience handling intellectual property matters for early-stage companies and formative corporate document suites for bootstrapped startups. Kara received the CALI Award for Excellence in Negotiations during her Spring 2018 Semester and was a member of the Transactional Law Moot Court Team.
