Kathleen “Katie” Wubker has a diverse range of experience in both litigation and corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Katie served as General Counsel to a mid-size manufacturing and franchising company. As General Counsel, Katie advised the company and Board of Directors on a variety of issues, including litigation management and prevention, labor and employment, intellectual property, franchise and distributorship compliance, contract negotiation, and corporate development and formality issues.

In her role managing the company’s litigation portfolio, Katie handled active litigation pending in multiple states in both State and Federal courts, including matters that progressed to jury trial, and interfaced with multiple outside counsels on a routine basis. Her role as General Counsel gives her a unique perspective into the outside counsel needs of mid-size, growing companies, particularly with respect to litigation, which she brings to her practice at GRSM.

Katie has managed and filed appellate matters before the Florida First and Fifth District Courts of Appeal, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, handling a wide range of complex litigation issues.

Katie was also in private practice with a large Florida-based firm, where she represented local, national, and international companies in all aspects of commercial contract and tort litigation. In private practice, Katie developed specific experience in intellectual property and insurance coverage matters.
