With more than a decade of experience at global technology companies, including leadership and advisory roles supporting legal, privacy, compliance, and cybersecurity functions, Kenneth brings a practical understanding of the goals and challenges facing sophisticated technology businesses. He leverages that experience to assist clients of all sizes.
Kenneth drafts and negotiates agreements involving outsourcing, intellectual property development, licensing and commercialization, joint ventures, consulting arrangements, distribution arrangements, on-premise software, and cloud-related matters. He also has extensive experience developing and implementing privacy, data retention, security incident management, and cybersecurity policies, as well as compliance programs designed to support adherence to those policies.
Kenneth counsels clients on data governance issues to address business needs while minimizing risk and complying with evolving regulatory requirements and other legal obligations. He advises businesses in the technology, advertising, consumer, healthcare, and financial sectors on information and communications technology matters, data transfers, third-party and vendor relationships, data administration, and security incidents.
Earlier in his career, Kenneth practiced commercial litigation and bankruptcy law, assisting financial institutions and software licensors with intellectual property protection and payment-related issues during bankruptcy proceedings.
Kenneth later served in legal and non-legal roles for a global enterprise software company, supporting highly regulated industries including financial services, insurance, healthcare, utilities, and government entities. He negotiated complex commercial agreements, data processing agreements, and business associate agreements, while advising some of the largest organizations in North America and internationally. He also worked within a global trust organization, addressing customer cybersecurity concerns from a technical perspective.
Kenneth subsequently worked for a leading enterprise artificial intelligence company, where he negotiated inbound and outbound commercial agreements with customers and vendors worldwide and helped develop internal processes and policies.
Kenneth holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States credential (CIPP/US), awarded by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
