Kevin S. Volkommer is an Associate in the New York office of GRSM and is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Previously, Kevin practiced both defense and plaintiff-side matters. Specifically, he defended health care facilities in medical malpractice and negligence matters, including premises liability. On the plaintiff-side, he prosecuted civil rights actions against the City of New York and the NYPD, personal injury actions, and product liability matters.

Kevin joined the New York City Compliance Committee and the subcommittee on Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Privacy in order to stay updated about this new and evolving field.

  • Successfully argued an appeal in the First Department, which resulted in the Court affirming the lower court’s decision to dismiss Plaintiff’s case: Snipes v. Schmidt, 166 A.D.3d 483 (1st Dep’t 2018).
  • Successfully moved for summary judgment to dismiss Plaintiff’s complaint and subsequently argued an appeal in the First Department, which resulted in the Court affirming the lower court’s decision: Powell v. Ctrs. FC Realty, LLC, 2020 N.Y. Slip Op. 2372 (1st Dept’ 2020).
