Kirstie M. Simmerman is the Co-Managing Partner of the Dallas office. She is an experienced litigator who routinely handles complex commercial litigation, employment law and intellectual property disputes nationwide before federal and state courts, administrative agencies and arbitration panels. She has successfully defended clients in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.

Kirstie’s practice focuses on employment, complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. She routinely represents employers in state and federal court, at arbitration, and before various administrative agencies such as the EEOC, NLRB and DOL. She handles matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment and retaliation brought under a variety of state and federal statutes, including Title VII, FMLA and the ADA. She also provides advice and counsel to clients regarding personnel policies and investigations.

Kirstie’s commercial litigation practice includes representing corporate entities, corporate officers and directors and professionals in a variety of commercial claims, including contractual disputes and claims for unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secret misappropriation, violation of non-competition covenants, defamation and tortious interference.

Kirstie also has substantial litigation experience defending entities against trademark and copyright infringement claims. Additionally, she devotes a portion of her practice to the representation of national franchisors in litigation enforcing franchise agreements, non-compete restrictions and indemnification provisions.
