Kasia Nowak

Kasia thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment adapting quickly to the needs of her clients, who are always her top priority. She is frequently called upon to take high-risk and complex matters because of her successful history in resolving cases nationwide. Kasia has successfully argued motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss to bring the most cost-effective and prompt resolutions. She also effectively advocated dismissal of cases on the eve of trial for lack of evidence. Kasia also oversees experts nationwide in cases that are trial threats and ultimately go to trial allowing her to develop the most innovative and valuable medical and scientific defenses. Kasia often serves as a trial team member and has tried cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions.

Before joining GRSM, Kasia served as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney. She prosecuted thousands of cases, including felonies and misdemeanors. She first and second chaired hundreds of trials (bench and jury) while representing the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in criminal and civil matters.
