Komal Chokshi focuses her practice on healthcare law and has advised medical centers on high-stakes litigation. With a strong foundation in private practice, Komal transitioned to public service in 2017 and stepped into leadership roles across some of California’s most prominent legal institutions.

Driven by her commitment to equity, Komal served as the inaugural Director of DEI for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, leading efforts to foster a more inclusive workplace and profession. She merged her passion for equity and public service with her expertise in law and legal operations, working to ensure California’s judiciary is accessible, fair, and responsive to the needs of all communities. Komal is passionate about leveraging her legal acumen and leadership experience to drive positive change, champion DEI, and serve the public good.

She has handled all aspects of litigation for health care clients including jury trials, arguing motions, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, negotiating settlements, legal research, drafting briefs and discovery, reviewing documents, responding to discovery, and preparing witnesses for testimony at depositions, arbitrations, and trials. She has also managed general and products liability matters.

  • Effectively managed more than 250 cases including catastrophic personal injury cases with damages exceeding $10 million.
